Description
Shortlisted for the 2015 Interior Design Excellence Awards in the Workplace category is The Cloud at Medibank based in Melbourne's Docklands precinct.

Designed by Russell & George, The Cloud at Medibank is a creative and original office space. With the use of urban and natural elements throughout, earth tones are utilised across the various floors with the ceiling in a light blue.

Floating in the area between the workspace and the ceiling is a glass edge box that in the most simple terms, represents 'the cloud'. Inside the box, geometric forms of Iceberg modular lounging by Derlot Editions enables collaboraitve working within the space.

As workspaces continue to transition from employees having their own desks to using spaces intermittently, the fitout has been conceived as if it is a 'town square' where staff members can work or alternatively meet in one of the two enclosed offices below the cloud-like pod.
