The "derlot" brand was established in 2003 by designer Alexander Lotersztain as a front for his practice; the initial purpose was to create a designer-own and manufactured range of products for the interior design branch of the Studio. This strategy has given the Studio an added benefit and competitive edge by providing unique design products, made in Australia for clients in the Asia-Pacific region.
